Introduction
In the last years we have been attending a re-discovery of poetry, arts, theatre and music, especially referred to the great authors and the mise en scène of their works.
Fuori Scena Theatre Company felt the need to face the world of poetry  performing the works of two important poets that, in different times, influenced Italian culture: Carducci and Pascoli.
The staging aims at showing the poems and the poetic language using the means of theatre.
Aim

The performance aims at getting to know some poems by Carducci and Pascoli to the new generations and to a heterogeneous audience. The Company produced a CD with the soundtrack and poems performed.
Contents

The relation between Carducci and Pascoli is far more complex than what we know about that.
This permormance shows the nostalgia for the native place, for infancy both prensent in the two poets’ works.
They feel the recall to the land of their childhood:
Carducci: Davanti San Guido, Congedo, Attraversando la Maremma Toscana, San Martino (Odi Barbare, 1882)
Pascoli: Valentino, Romagna, Le Monache di Sogliano, X Agosto (Myricae, 1894).
The theme of the “dream of memories” of their early childhood brings back the poets to their past lives, with a narrative technique  that almost belongs to the world of painting.
The Company experiments a new way of bringing poetry into theatre: a performance where the actors bring the poems to life, through their voice and body gesture.
A perfomance where the words move around in a sort of dance that brings life to the poetic line.
